Thanks so much for sharing your journey Terra! You’re so brave. It takes a lot of courage to choose yourself, and butterfly away in a whole new land. I’m looking forward to that book one day. Bless you 🙏❤️

It has not always been easy (and anyone can say that for sure!) and it has been a tremendous gift. Thank you Jamie.

Thank you, my sister, for the update on your El Salvador adventure! I love hearing about the doctor/dentist visits and to hear about Bitcoin integration into a country that uses it as currency. I don't feel I will ever think I have enough of it to actually spend it. How do you navigate that, Terra? ❤️

Thank you Jacqueline. Some weeks my writing feels rough and I put it out anyway. And I did want to write about those things… I thought of you this morning as there is a little room for rent on the property. Text me if you might want to come for a few weeks? Regarding your question on Bitcoin…that would evoke different answers from different people. Here is mine: right now, I think it is a good store of value plus energetically, I love it and the way it feels and what it can do—which is free a lot of people from debt slavery, from devaluation of their savings, and from needing permission to move money. There are books on some of these topics I know you have read. Jeff Booth has one on deflationary societies… It is amazing to see how easy it is to pay here with Bitcoin, in El Zonte. Faster and less expensive than a credit card. Not everywhere in El Salvador uses Bitcoin. The country is still very USD based. There are various reasons for this. The locals are still learning. Some can’t read (like my housekeeper). The value in USD of BTC is volatile. For someone that makes $15 day…they want to play it “safe” with USD which is understandable. If you spend it, you can always buy more…so that doesn’t sound like a problem to me. The problem is around taxes in the US. Technically, if you spend Bitcoin, you have to report the gain or loss. Even if you buy a coffee. There are a lot of very independent people here, and many are not from the US and don’t face that issue. But if you are coloring within the lines as I do my best to do, it is complex to spend Bitcoin as a US citizen. Some people have Bitcoin that is not tied to their name and if they ever wanted to sell it for dollars on an exchange, they would have to show where it came from (I think). Anyway, it is a can of worms with much to be said beyond a reply here in the comments. What you say about never having enough is funny. I think many people feel that way. I actually asked a friend about it as it reminded me of an addiction and I thought I might have a problem. He assured me I am fine. I don’t remember what he told me except that it is good to want more of some

things and less of others. And, I will include the cover my ass comment that none of this is financial advice etc… I did love the book: The 7th Property by Eric Yakes. I hope I am lucky enough to meet him here for dinner next week. I think he explains technical things well. The more I learn, the easier it is to ride the waves of price fluctuation. And nothing in the world is certain. It just feels good to put my energy behind what I feel will have a positive impact in the world. I think that is why I was drawn to be in El Zonte for now and why I hold BTC. So, don’t worry. Trust yourself, follow your heart and know it will be very easy (or it can be) to spend it. There are various technologies that will allow for this just as we spend USD various ways without having to hand someone cash or wire money. Much is still over my head but things built as layers on top of BTC to do this include lightening, liquid, fedimints…. I have a very basic understanding as I don’t get as much practice as I would like due to the tax situation in the US I referred to.

Thanks for all this Terra!

" I will include the cover my ass comment that none of this is financial advice etc"

hahaha!! You don't have to worry about that with me, but I get it!! ;)

I have very solid understanding of Bitcoin, and believe in it.

My only hesitancy in spending it is related to the knowing that spending $20 worth of it today is like spending $1000 worth in a few years. This is the beauty of a deflationary currency- it really makes us conservative and not buy crap we don't need!!

" I thought of you this morning as there is a little room for rent on the property. Text me if you might want to come for a few weeks? "

Oh my god I WISH!!!! If I didn't have a little kitty friend depending on my for his meals, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I'd bring my recording gear with me, too, so I could keep working while in paradise. Please do always keep letting me know about this kind of opportunity. You just never know. Sending you so much love, my sister!! ❤️

Ahhh. Ok. Good to know about the kitty. Yes, it is lovely to own deflationary things for sure and there you have it! One wants to spend less when money is not losing its value. Which means there is less consumption that comes from fear and a sense of lack. I know you have read a lot and that is so key, right? When the value in fiat dollars goes from the $60 thousands to the $16 thousands to the $70 thousands, it is good to understand as much as possible about what you own and then, hopefully remain more at ease and make choices based on inner alignment.
